BluRay advice … I bought a blu ray Panasonic 52-inch monitor?
I am not reserving the clear picture I expected … Maybe I installed the problem? I bought a 1080 cable thingy that the guy recommended
For best results, you must connect Blu-ray to the TV using an HDMI cable (it 1080 that the cable thingy?) must also configure the output Blu-ray image with the same resolution of your TV. For example, if your TV supports 1080p, the Blu-ray should be set to output 1080p. If your TV only supports 1080i, however, you must configure the production of Blu-ray in this resolution. The reason is that your TV HD resize an image to adapt to incoming original resolution. This applies to all incoming images – regular television programs, programs high definition television, DVD movies and Blu-ray. Television has a special processor inside it does. But the Blu-ray has a processor more powerful, which may produce a better picture than if based on the processor in your TV. Worse, if you use both processors, you see a blur (processing is possible signal again 
Finally, be sure to choose Blu-ray will show that your configuration. While regular DVDs will play on the player Blu-ray, and extended to near HD quality, will not be nearly as good as true HD picture native Blu-ray offers.
