Should I return my HD DVD player without opening and buy a PS3 now Warner went with Blu Ray?
I ordered the DVD Player High Definition Amazon last week, and the next day Warner announced they were going exclusively with Blu-ray. Should I send it again now, get a refund and buy a PS3 instead? HD DVD is doomed? I do not need a game console – I have a PC – but I want to play HD movies on my new 1080p LCD TV.
I would like to return to unit and get a Blu-ray instead. However, there are many HD options and more records. Vudu has just launched a top box capable of streaming or downloading HD movies on your TV through your broadband connection. The choice is limited (you can just buy the Bourne trilogy), but selection of the expansion. The cost per film is about $ 3.99 to rent (24 hours) and about $ 15 – $ 20 to property. The box is $ 399 so it's not cheap, but if I like the convenience of watching movies on HD DVD without having to worry about physics, this is not a bad option. Currrently Xbox Live has the best selection of movies in high definition with prices below: SD = Standard Definition, HD = High Definition HD TV Episodes – 240 points ($ 3) SD TV Episodes – 160 points ($ 2) HD Movies – 480 points ($ 6) SD Movies – 320 points ($ 4) Classic Movies HD – 360 points ($ 4.50) Classic SD Movies – 240 points ($ 3) However, the supply of Xbox 360 HD-DVD attachment only ($ 179) and does not intend A statement from Blu-ray attachment. If you prefer a physical disc, Blu-ray is really the only option: 1) Major movie studios Universal, Paramount, DreamWorks and HD-DVD. Fox, Disney, Warner, Sony, Lionsgate, Newline full support of Blu-ray exclusively. 2) Target sells only in Blu-ray and Blockbuster rents only Blu-ray (some HD-DVD still available in some stores) retailers are less likely to stock HD-DVD in stores allocate less storage space or for that matter even if the HD-DVD survives, it will be like Betamax. I have no HDTV, Blu-ray, HD-DVD, or work for high technology. If you prefer a physical disc, Blu-ray is your only option at this time.
